OPP to Install Cameras

If you break the law, prepare to be on camera!

Kenora OPP will be putting 12 in-car video units in their cars starting in February as part of a Provincial Pilot-Project to combat racial profiling.

Sergeant Don Denver welcomes the initiative stating it will help in the fight against crime.

The Province wants every police cruiser to have the cameras but is not giving any hints on how smaller forces, such as Dryden, would be able to afford the equipment.

The cameras will also be installed in 22 Toronto cruisers.
