A proposal to end the Softwood Lumber dispute was done in the back room with no input from the people that matter…forestry workers.
That claim from CEP National Rep Cec Makowski, who says the deal worked out last weekend does nothing for Northwestern Ontario.
Makowski says the agreement includes quotas that will put several Mills in jeoporady.
Makowski calls the proposal a complete sellout of our sovereignty.
Weyerhaeuser has yet to comment on the proposal.
