With warmer weather upon us, a reminder to use caution when out on frozen bodies of water.
The OPP are asking snowmobilers to avoid travelling on ice at night since it’s hard to see open water.
They say that’s the main cause of snowmobile drownings.
Constable Guy Beaudry says you should make an escape plan.
He also suggest carrying ice picks and wear buoyant snowmobile suits if you plan cross over ice.
