Opportunity For Regional Mining Project

Last month’s climate change conference in Paris could spell good news for a mining project north of Kenora.

Avalon Rare Metals believes the commitment to lower greenhouse gas emissions will increase the demand for lithium, which is used in electric car batteries.

Company President Don Bubar says anything that increases demand for lithium is good news for them.

Bubar notes the Separation Rapids site is the only large undeveloped resource for lithium in the world right now.

Avalon recently raised $750,000 in flow-through shares, which will be used in part to develop the regional site.
