Over 1,000 Kilometre Walk Almost Over

Members of Sachigo Lake First Nation are expected to arrive in Thunder Bay later Monday afternoon to complete their over 1,000-kilometre walk.
The group began their trek two weeks ago.
Organizer Robert Barkman says it’s to raise funds for a student living centre at Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School.
Barkman notes a fatal stabbing last year calls attention to the need for a student living centre.
He says the community’s band council has been collecting donations while they’ve been walking but he’s not sure how much has been raised so far.
