Oxdrift Services Board Closer to Reality

The Provincial Government has approved the Greater Oxdrift Local Services Board.
Interim Chair Greg Gamble says they are now preparing for the election of a new governing body consisting of 5-board members.
The Services Board will include 8-Township’s, including Rugby, Britton, Eaton, Wainwright, Zealand, Brownridge, Aubrey and Van Horne.
The Board will be able to levy fees for a number of services including fire protection, recreation and 9-1-1 service.
Information on elections is expected to be released in the next couple of weeks.
