The Federal Government has made a major investment to create jobs and growth in the region.
FedNor Minister Greg Rickford announced $960,000 in funding for Patricia Area Community Endeavours at a media conference in Dryden Tuesday.
PACE Board Vice-Chair Richard Wetelainen says the funding will provide small and medium-sized enterprises with access to capital and business counselling services for a 3-year period.
Wetelainen says PACE has $2-million out in active loans and the FedNor money will help increase that figure and do more good in the area.
Wetelainen notes it’s important that communities and entrepreneurs realize that loans are available to help them fulfil their dreams and have their ideas come to life.
He notes a volunteer board looks at each submission and the service doesn’t cost a cent.
