Two residents of a Clearwater Crescent Townhouse escaped injury thanks to a working smoke alarm and an alert neighbour.
Dryden Firefighters and Police were called to the residence around 2 o’clock this morning after a neighbour called 911 after hearing a smoke alarm.
Crews found the two storey unit full of smoke and helped two people outside.
The Dryden Fire Service says the cause of the smoke was from cooking pans left on the stove top, which was still on as the two people slept.
