Parker Simonson Named CCM/SIJHL Top Performer

It was highly competitive, but Thief River Falls Norskies forward Parker Simonson has been named SIJHL Performer of the Month of October.

After one month, Simonson produced a league best 14-goals along with eight assists for 22-points.

He is currently one point behind Dryden GM Ice Dogs forward Luke Bellerose in overall scoring, with Bellerose receiving consideration for the award.

Simonson has been on the scoresheet in all of the 12-games the undefeated Norskies have played.

The 20-year-old just needs three more goals to surpass the 16 he had in all of last year.

Simonson is tops in the league in points-per-game average at 1.83 and is tied for game winning goals.

English River Miners forward Jared Janke, who has torn in up in the past three weeks, also received consideration.
