Passenger Rail #2

Passenger rail service has not been available in Dryden since the
early 90’s and the push is on to bring it back.
The City has agreed to contribute $1,000 to a Thunder Bay
Consultant who is looking at the viability of the service from Sudbury to
Winnipeg.
City Manager Arie Hoogenboom says it’s always been a highly debated
issue.

n058 runs: 19 sec. out…a focus.

The proposed reduction in bus service, highway conditions and tourism
opportunities were all factors in Dryden’s decision to participate.
