Ontario’s Liberal government is putting the brakes on its
proposed passenger restrictions for teenage drivers.
The province planned to restrict drivers 19 and under with a G-2 graduated licence to having only one teen passenger.
Transportation Minister Jim Bradley says he is withdrawing the
controversial passenger limit.
Bradley says his colleagues got a lot of public feedback from
rural and Northern Ontario, where public transit is scarce and
long drives are the norm.
