NDP Leadership hopeful Paul Dewar is hoping to gain support from Northwestern Ontario party supporters.
Dewar was in Thunder Bay on Friday and says the North is very important to the NDP.
Dewar noted that more job training in the region is needed to get young people working in our emerging sectors.
Dewar says affordable power for businesses and home owners is also an issue in the North.
He also thinks the way MP’s Bruce Hyer and John Rafferty were treated for voting down the Gun Registry was wrong.
Dewar says at the end of the day its a members job to represent the will of their constituents.
