The Ontario PC Leader claims the Liberal government is not fighting for affordable hydro for Ontario residents.
Patrick Brown is calling on MPP Glenn Thibeault to justify why he won’t direct the Ontario Energy Board to reject an application from Hydro One for a $141 per year hydro rate hike.
Brown says he doesn’t need to try and keep this issue on the forefront because people can see first hand the skyrocketing costs.
Brown notes it’s ridiculous that higher ups in Hydro One make double digit salaries while Ontario families struggle to pay their hydro bills.
The Ontario Energy Board has been conducting public consultations about the proposed increase in hydro distribution rates with stops in Dryden and Sudbury last week.
