A Liberal MPP is being chastised for comments he made at Queen’s Park regarding northern Ontario.
Progressive Conservative MPP Sam Oosterhoff says during a discussion on this region at Queen’s Park, Northumberland-Quinte West MPP Lou Rinaldi was caught heckling the speaker.
Rinaldi was heard referring to northern Ontario as “No Man’s Land.”
Oosterhoff calls the comments unjustified and insulting.
Oosterhoff stresses the north is a very important part of our province that contributes to the socio-economic culture in significant ways.
He stresses the government should be doing everything it can to build the north up.
Oosterhoff notes the PC’s are the only party that makes a concentrated effort to visit northerners to hear their concerns.
