Pelican Falls Career Fair

Promoting the awareness of employment opportunities will be echoing through the halls of Pelican Falls
The First Nations High School will be holding its 10th annual career fair.
Twenty-five to thirty booths will be in attendance.
Guest Speaker and Youth Empowerment Activist James Lathlin will be addressing students.
Pelican Falls Guidance Counsellor, Tom Hoppe explains why it’s important to have a career fair.
“It’s one of the means by which the students without having to go out to other areas see what opportunities there are for a potential career.”
Hoppe says, “By having all the businesses coming to the school, it offers the opportunity to students as a one-stop-shop to find out what’s available to them.”
Some of the booths that will be at the high school include, Health Canada, CIBC, Best Western Hotel, Service Canada and First Step Women’s Shelter.
The event will be on Friday from 9:15-11:15 a.m. and Lathlin will be speaking from 1:15-3:15 p.m.
