Update On Shooting Incident In Red Lake

A 23-year-old woman is recovering in Winnipeg hospital following a shooting incident in Red Lake.
The Ontario Special Investigations Unit has released more details about the event Saturday night.
The SIU says Provincial Police were called to an apartment on Pine Road around 10:30 about a noise complaint.
The woman inside the apartment refused to open the door, so they forced their way inside.
An altercation ensued and one of the officers discharged a firearm.
The woman’s wound is not believed to be life-threatening.
The SIU has assigned four investigators and two forensic specialists to the case.
