Pension Plan Underfunded

There’s word the Parliamentary pension plan is underfunded by up to $1-billion.
A CD Howe Institute report says M-Ps and Senators face even graver pension woes than the rest of the country.
Thunder Bay-Superior North NDP member Bruce Hyer says it’s only fair that MP’s pensions take a hit since regular Canadian’s pensions are at risk too.
The Institute suggests Ottawa could move towards fixing the problem by increasing MP wages to account for lower retirement benefits.
