Perry Bellegarde has officially launched his campaign for a second term as National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations.
Bellegarde says closing the gap between aboriginals, non-aboriginals and the government remains his priority.
So far there’s only one challenger.
Russ Diabo, from Kahnawake, Quebec, announced his intention to run in April.
The elections take place during the AFN’s meeting this Summer.
