A banner year for Red Lake’s Pete McLeod.
McLeod has ended the Red Bull Air Race World Championship with a 5th place finish in the overall standings.
The main highlight for the only Canadian in the field was a first place finish in the United States.
McLeod says he plans to enjoy a brief holiday but notes he will be back to work in off-season training in the coming weeks.
He says he will be focusing next year on championship points and consistency.
McLeod notes his team will be working on the aircraft during the break but he doesn’t anticipate any major modifications.
He ended the season in Austria with engine troubles.
