Petition Out on New School Name

A former Riverview School student is calling on the public to sign a petition urging the Public School Board to rethink the name Open Roads School.
Dryden’s new Elementary School is scheduled to open this September.
Jeff Cole has a petition out at 25-different locations in Dryden, Vermilion Bay and Wabigoon.
The petition asks the Board to keep the Riverview School name.
Cole says people don’t understand what ‘Open Roads’ means, noting that most feel uncomfortable with it.
