A sigh of relief from municipal officials in the Town of Pickle Lake.
The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is promising to release several years of funding.
Mayor Karl Hopf says they expect to receive about $250,000 from the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund.
Hopf says they’ve had their OMPF funding with-held for the past couple of years because the Ministry didn’t feel their financial and audited statements were complete.
He stresses the money gives them a lot more breathing room.
