Pikangikum Man Charged With Manslaughter

Charges have been laid in connection with the death of a Pikangikum First Nations child late last year.
OPP arrested the 2-month-old infant’s father, 30-year-old Chris Turtle, on a count of manslaughter.
First Nation’s Police responded to a domestic disturbance December 23rd and when they returned a few hours later, the child was found unresponsive.
A post mortem was conducted but results are being withheld.
Turtle will appear in Kenora court today.
