A Winnipeg pilot is lucky to be walking away with only minor injuries after a plane crash in Marathon.
OPP say a small airplane was attempting to take off from the airport Thursday when it ran out of runway.
Police say the aircraft clipped a fence and hit a light pole and came to rest in a ditch alongside Highway 17.
The Trans-Canada Highway was closed for 2-hours as a result of the crash.
An investigation into the crash has been launched.
