Two Northwest Schools Added to Residential List

The Nishnawbe-Aski Nation is applauding a court decision which adds two NAN First Nations schools onto a formal list of residential schools.
Deputy Grand Chief Mike Metatawabin says it’s a landmark ruling.
It now means former students of Stirland Lake and Cristal Lake schools are eligible for government compensation.
Metatawabin says it opens the door to more such claims.
