An Alberta man was forced to use Highway 17 as a landing strip
Monday afternoon.
The two seater single engine plane was enroute from Marathon to
Alberta when the pilot realized that due to stong winds there would not be
enough fuel to reach the Dryden Airport.
The man made a precautionary landing on the Transcanada, just West of
Ignace.
No one was injured and there was no damage to the plane.
The aircraft was serviced for fuel on Highway 17 and took off without
any problems.
