Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is promising to implement all of the 94-recommendations contained in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission report.
He calls the final document a way forward towards reconciliation for all Canadians.
Trudeau adds the country needs nothing less than a total renewal of its relationship with indigenous people.
He says one of the steps is designing a national engagement strategy for developing and implementing a new framework that will result in a formal response to the report.
