Points On Reward Programs Can No Longer Expire In Ontario

The points you earn on rewards programs can no longer expire in Ontario.

Legislation passed at Queen’s Park in November that officially kicked in on January 1st.

It also protects any points earned since October.

The legislation was sparked by complaints in 2017 over the Air Miles program proposing to expire points five years or older.

The province says it examined the terms of over 50 different programs when drafting the regulations.
