Police Annual Report

The Dryden Police Service is out with its 2009 Annual Report.
Chief Shayne MacKinnon says traffic related incidents ballooned to 729, compared to 486 in 2008.
Officers responded to 249-motor vehicle collisions, 20 of which involved animals, and 4-pedestrians.
22-charges were laid for impaired driving.
The Dryden Communication Center received more then 10-thousand reported incidents and 5-thousand 911 calls last year.
7 sexual charges were laid and 14-offenders were registered with the sex offender registry.
Domestic violence, robbery, break and enter cases and mischief reports were also up last year compared to 2008.
