Lac Seul Police Service and Provincial Police are investigating a sudden death.
On Monday (August 9) Lac Seul Police and Emergency Medical Services were called to a Frenchman’s Head home around 3:45am to help a woman in medical distress.
A short time later, the woman was pronounced deceased and has since been identified as 50 year old Wanda Beardy of Sioux Lookout.
The investigation is ongoing but police say there is no risk to public safety at this time.
Next of kin have been notified and a post-mortem will be conducted in Toronto.
