Police Lay Charges in Alleged Assault

A Poplar Hill First Nation woman faces 1-count of assault with a weapon after Nishnawbe-Aski Police were called to a fight in the Northern community.
Police say a man was struck several times in the legs with a broom.
Police say 38-year-old Susan Owen appeared in Sioux Lookout Court Monday and will be back in court next month.
Poplar Hill is about 544-kilometres north of Kenora.
