Provincial Police are investigating the death of a 55-year-old man near the Pikangikum First Nation.
Police say Robert Pierrot went for a walk on the ice road towards Red Lake late last week.
He wasn’t reported missing until Saturday morning and after a search, his body was finally located later that afternoon.
Due to the condition of the body, the OPP’s Northwest Crime Unit has been called into investigate.
A post-mortem exam is scheduled to take place in Toronto this week.
