Police Pursuit Ends Safely

A Lac La Croix First Nation woman faces five charges following a dangerous police chase that started in Fort Frances.
Provincial Police were notified of a possible impaired driver in the drive-thru of a restaurant.
The vehicle sped off when officers arrived.
Police followed the vehicle and made three separate attempts to stop the car but were unsuccessful.
Police called off the pursuit as the vehicle sped up and blew through Couchiching First Nation.
A Treaty Three Police officer noticed the vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 11 near Highway 502 and the driver eventually pulled over on her own.
OPP say 29-year-old Alana Ottertail faces five charges including flight from police, driving while under suspension and impaired.
