Police Searching For Man Following Assault

A scary ordeal for a Dryden cab driver.
City Police say a taxi driver was stopped by a man at Duke Street and Colonization Avenue around 1 o’clock Saturday morning.
The man told the driver that he wanted a ride but the driver advised him that he was picking up another fare, and couldn’t give him one.
The driver attempted to roll up the passenger side window, but the man held on, opened the door and jumped into the car.
Police say the suspect tried to grab the keys from the ignition, assaulted the driver and fled the scene.
He’s described as a white male, in his 20’s, about 5’10 tall and skinny.
He was wearing a white sweater jacket, with a pattern across the front and a baseball cap.
The driver suffered a cut to his nose and a black eye.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dryden Police or Crime Stoppers.
