Pool Will Get Dehumidifier

A new dehumidifier for the Dryden Pool and Recreation Complex has come
in $100,000 over budget.
The new $352,000 system will be purchased after the Recreation Department axed a project that is no longer needed and put a low-ticket item on the shelf.
The remainder will be financed by long term debt.
Recreation Maintenance Supervisor David DeGagne says the system is needed to protect the structure of the building that is starting to show some age.
DeGagne hopes to have the new dehumidifier installed by the end of September.
He says he’s not expecting any disruption in services for staff
and visitors when the dehumidifier is put in.
