Positive COVID Cases At Musselwhite Mine

An area mine has been hit with confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Newmont Canada reports two people have tested positive for the coronavirus at its Musselwhite mine.

A third person is presumed positive.

The three are currently quarantined at the mine site and are being monitored.

Newmont indicates the mine will remain open for the time being.

Musselwhite is located about 480 kilometres north of Thunder Bay.
