Input is being sought on developing new strategies to grow the chicken industry in northern Ontario.
The Chicken Farmers of Ontario is hosting public consultation this morning at the Dryden PACE office starting at 9:00.
The Cloverbelt Local Food Co-op is scheduled to be in attendance.
Local officials are hoping to see changes to better support small farmers as well as the growth of the “niche” market industry of pasture raised birds.
Similar consultations are also being held today in Fort Frances and Thunder Bay.
