Power Back On

Monday night’s storm caused nothing but headaches for area residents, Hydro One and the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Lightning knocked out power for some 2 hours last night affecting more than 4,500 Hydro One customers.
Officials say they had to fix a defective insulator on one of the lines but note power has been restored across the Region.
The MNR is scouring the area looking for new fires.
Lightning strikes are blamed for 3 new fires near Red Lake and Sioux Lookout.
Crews are fighting 5 fires in total and officials expect new blazes to start as the hazard remains at high to extreme.
