Power Still Out To +1,500 Hydro One Customers

Hydro One says all available crews from across northwestern Ontario are in the Kenora and Sioux Narrows area in efforts to restore power.

Over 1,500 customers are still without electricity following last Thursday’s snow storm.

Hydro One says extensive damage to hydro lines and poles and road conditions have been making it difficult for crews to get access to some areas.

Some customers may have power today, but the Utility warns it could be Wednesday at the earliest.

At one point some 9,000 Hydro One customers across northwestern Ontario were without power.

Hydro crews from Sudbury, Timmins and Geraldton have also been brought in.

Hydro One notes power has been restored in the entire Dryden area.
