Ontario’s Premier says she’ll leave it up to the experts on how best to keep government workers and the buildings they work in safe.
Kathleen Wynne says it’s appropriate not to overreact following this past week’s shooting on Parliament hill.
She says they don’t want to create a fortress but they do want to be responsible.
Wynne says any change to the level of security should be based on the advice of authorities in the know.
Wynne worries about getting into a political debate in the legislature or in the media about what they should or should not be doing.
She notes there have been many changes to security at Queen’s Park since when the 1970’s
