Premier Kathleen Wynne says her government is taking the mercury poisoning situation in Grassy Narrows First Nation very seriously.
Wynne notes they are planning to review the Mercury Disability Board and will determine how best to help residents with mercury-related health issues.
She stresses she’s aware of how badly the poison has impacted the community and she is promising to work closely with band officials.
Wynne says she’s been to the community and has seen first hand how the historical contamination has impacted their daily lives.
