Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says thunderstorms moving in from the southwest will hit tonight.
Laidlaw says we can expect to see more than 25-millimetres of rain overnight.
He adds the rain will taper off Thursday afternoon and then it will be cloudy and mild.
