Teaching the City about sustainable paper products.
A presentation was shown to Dryden Council last night by Kenora Mayor Dave Canfield and Dean Caron of FP Innovations showcasing the positive side of the forestry industry.
Canfield feels the positive forces of forestry should be heard and that environmental activists tend to misunderstand how modern practices are actually helpful to the environment.
He mentions that trying to hurt the forestry sector affects area jobs which in turn affects the lives of people within the community.
Canfield also says misconceptions of the forestry sector tend to come mostly from places such as Toronto and even California.
