The Conservatives are tabling a private members bill to include all Hydro One employees on the annual Sunshine List.
Only the top five salaries are now listed due to security reasons.
Energy Critic Todd Smith says the head of Hydro One is now making about $4.5-million, a raise of more than 600%, so how many other astronomical raises have been handed out to executives and employees.
Smith says at a time of full disclosure in 2015, there were 4,200 Hydro One employees making over $100,000 a year.
The Sunshine List comes out on Friday.
He is also taking aim at Finance Minister Charles Sousa, stating he doesn’t truly understand the reality most of us are facing because of high hydro rates and salaries being doled out at Hydro One.
Smith is puzzled by Sousa defending the top salary being paid at Hydro One.
Sousa says the compensation is performance-based.
Smith says he knows there are people across northern Ontario that are in arrears on their electricity bills or have had their power shut off over the years because of astronomical rates.
He adds people are leaving the province because they can no longer pay their monthly hydro bill.
