There may finally be some good news for Atikokan.
The Receiver handling Proboard Limited is expected to make a decision on the Plant’s future by week’s end.
Mayor Dennis Brown says he understands as many as 6 companies are interested in Proboard and the accompanying wood rights.
The Plant was put into receivership last August, resulting in the loss of up to 140 jobs.
