Major renovation plans have been identified for the Dryden Recreation Complex.
Consulting Engineer John Lorenowich says proposed renovations include an addition to the north end of the Chris Pronger Arena as well as a second storey addition over the main entrance.
The project would include new-expanded dressing rooms, additional storage space and a workshop.
The second story addition would consist of new offices, washrooms, a cardio room, meeting room, concession area with kitchen facilities and an enhanced lobby overlooking Rink #1.
The 3-phased project comes in at roughly $8-million and would take about a year and a half to complete.
The renovations are contingent on Government funding.
Still some on Council are concerned about exhaust issues in the Arena as well as a shortage of seating and parking spaces.
