Province and midwives agree to 3-year deal

A new three year agreement has been reached between the government and Ontario’s midwives.

The contract includes a 7 percent wage increase, which amounts to a $52 million increase in compensation.

The deal also has $8 million for Indigenous Projects and $5 million for day-to-day clinical operations.

The agreement runs to March 31st, 2028 and is retroactive to April 1st.
