Northern development and mines minister Rick Bartolucci announced yesterday in Fort Frances that the McGuinty Government is set to start working with Fort Frances.
The 1.3 million dollar investment will upgrade infrastructure in support of the biomass burner project at the mill.
The burner is a part of an 84-million dollar investment by Abitibi Consolidated.
The initiative supports the creation of up to a hundred full time positions and the retention of more that one thousand jobs in the mill and in the woodlands of the Rainy River district.
