Sioux Lookout has finalized the purchase of the former CN/Via train station which has sat unused and derelict for years.
Sioux Council plans to apply to FedNor, NOHFC and other organizations for over two million dollars in funding to refurbish the station, as well as make other downtown enhancements.
A newly created Economic Development Commission will oversee development and manage the project.
