Province Asks Elementary Students to Get Fit

Provincial Education Minister Gerard Kennedy wants all Elementary School students to take part in physical education classes starting in September.
Keewatin-Patricia District School Board Director of Education Janet Wilkenson says that won’t mean any changes locally.
Wilkenson says Phys Ed has always been part of the local program and she doesn’t see any problems meeting whatever new rules are brought in.
Kennedy wants kids to get at least 20 minutes per day, something Wilkenson says could be a bit of a problem but not something that can’t be figured out.
