Province Boosts Funding For Sexual Assault Centres

More money for sexual assault centres in Ontario.

Premier Kathleen Wynne is adding another $1.75-million to the base funding the centres receive annually.

The money will be shared between 42-centres across the province.

The cash will be used to boost certain services including help-lines, counselling services as well as training and education.

Wynne says agencies need predictable and stable funding to help survivors and notes this is just the first step.
